So I am interested in finding or writing a utility that will
attempt to log in to an Oracle database and if the login is unsuccessful send
put an event in the event log of a server so that we can be notified and fix
the problem. Is anyone aware of a program that does something like this? I
don’t think it would be hard to write with perl if it doesn’t already
exist using DBI and Win32::Event ??? Anyone have any comments.
