[perl-win32-gui] How to Programatically Select First Row in a ListView

I have a form with a listview working quite happily. Before the form is
shown, the listbox is filled with data. How do I arrange for the first item
shown in the listbox to be selected before the form is shown?
If I have to use Win32-API to send the control a message, how do I do that?
