I, too, fail to see the logic in that - though Perl is installed under the
Apache tree on my machine (because the tutorial I followed recommended it).
I don't believe it is necessary for Greg to reinstall it in D:/Perl. Would
there likewise be any logic in doing that? I'm not sure whether Bill meant
that Greg should do that, or whether he simply meant quite literally that
that is what he (Bill) would have done .
In addition to the other points that Bill raised I question the use of
'.exe' at the end of the shebang line (and in other places). I've seen it
used before - what is it?, is it necessary? I also know it has sometimes
caused problems that have been resolved simply by removing it.
