You probably want to set a a Macro to handle the input from the Win App then use Perl 
to sort throught the results of that output. Maybe? I have seen a lot of post about 
ADO you may want to look into that. If your serious about learning the Win32 way try

The book could help and they have plenty of example code you can download from their 
ftp server.
