Ok, I got it. Turns out you don't need to mess with the metabase for this
one (luckily).

1.) In the Internet Services Manager Snap in, right click on your
computername and select properties
2.) Select 'Edit' to edit the master properties.
3.) On the home directory tab, select 'configuration'
4.) On this screen, select the 'Process Options' tab and you can configure
the timeout here. The default is 300 seconds.


This solves the timeout problem for win2000 iis.
