I have never done this and just need help getting off the 'dime'. I have a monitor program that I tried to fork from TK - doesn't work... won't work.
So, I thought, can I start a Tk window from the monitor and collect the input that way? Forget Tk for now. How do I fork a process and have that process return information? Shared memory? Pipes?
