It is only supposed to show pop-ups every 30 minutes or so. The number
of popups depends of course on the number of stories published on
Slashdot in the meantime. But this is just a sample application to show
what you can do with PerlTray with just 40 lines of code or so.

Did you try to right-click on the tray icon to get the context menu,
and then select "Exit" from it? That is supposed to terminate the
sample program.
