The apology is for asking an (obvious) RTFM question; did first check the mail list have been working thru the fantastic Roth programming book - i'm just too darn slow. Bkg - here at chemical plant most users are Win95 and will be until corp upgrade to 2000. in the meantime need a procedure to automatically turn the increasing number of Excel 97 spreadsheets rec'd from the rest of the world into Excel 95 for my users.
