I've got it working now - part of the problem was that
I'd been reduced to Telnetting to the server so I could see the
output, and not noticed that the reason I was getting a too-short
response was a typo in the image name that got the thumbnail version.
Combined with the previous 'use Win::OLE' problem, that was what
was confusing me. I am an idiot.
