We are running IBM Netfinitys with 2 600MHz PIII Processors. NT4
SP6a. IIS4. Activeperl 613-620. We prefer to use ISAPI Perl (.plx) to
cgi Perl because of its faster execution.
Over time the process size of inetinfo.exe seems to grow. Initially we
thought that it was due to Win32::ODBC. However, it appears that this
happens too with DBI::ODBC. (Connecting to a MS Access DB) Also, scripts
that produce @lists can sometimes be leave the memory they use in the
process space.
I have tested this with the latest MDAC (2.6) components and ActivePerl
620, and have the same effects.
Are there any special rules when working with ISAPI Perl, such as
specifically exiting the program with exit; and having to undef any
variables, lists and hashes that are used.
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA
Roland
