Hello Eric,
I was just wondering if you found a solution and success in the above topic
- running a CGI script on a CDROM?

Any information at all would be most appreciated!

Regards,

Kevin D. Dearing

Subject: CGI + Web Server running off of CDROM?

I have been asked to create a CGI-like application bundled on a CD
(ie, with
        PerlApp or perl2exe).

If I use some sort of CGI-type interface, I guess I will have to
have
some sort of web server on the CD. In my vision of the project, the
application would start the web server and then load the query page
for CGI
        requests.

-- How would it be possible to set up a small web server so it will
start up when the application is started? (I think that AS did
something
        like this with VPM).

-- Is this possible and/or is there a better way?

-- If this is possible, any suggestions on a small, simple
CGI-capable
        server?

        Thanks in advance,

        - Eric D. Smith
