well, not exactly what you asked for, but if you're
running a linux box anywhere, try installing Inline.pm

you can write C/C++ code inline with perl code.
very neat, although i dont think it runs 
correctly with Win32 yet (since compilers and
make utilities are definately not standard
fare on most win32 boxes)
