By default IIS5 thinks .cgi will be a regular windows executable. If you
want to use Perl instead, go to IIS Management Console, right-click on
Default Web Server (or whatever virtual directory you want). Click on the
"Home Directory" tab, and then click the "Configuration..." button. The
"App Mappings" tab controls how IIS handles various file extentions. look
at the .pl extention values, create a new one called .cgi and use all the
same values that .pl uses. restart IIS and it should be good to go.
