Ok, so DBI/DBD-Oracle doesn't seem to be the problem.
One of my other questions was about other applications. Oracle provides
tools for interacting with the database via both the command line & the
gui. SQL*Net? Not sure. Can you connect to and interact with Oracle using
any of these tools? You need to determine where the problem lies -- it
might be Perl, or it might be the Oracle server, the network connection,
etc. Try to pin down where things are going wrong.
