there are 2 things for my opinion to write my own: first, i know apache a lot and it is far to overdosed for my projekt. The second thing is, that i try to lern the things behind it -- i know it is not realy perl-programmers like - and of cause i like all the modules and things round about perl. Nowadays I doing everything in perl ( i comes from the RPG and Clipper world... years ago). In case of my webserver, I want a tiny server that works in all my projekts .. i have done it now, actually a bit slow at the momant, but i will fix it some day - the reason behind my step to make a complete new one is, that i have another projekt to write a confernce-chat server for a company here in germany - i have to make my best ( they will pay a lot :-))) ) and i really neet some praktise in all the server things.
The last days i learnd a lot. Thanx to all ! -----Ursprngliche Nachricht----- Von: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]Im Auftrag von Petr Smejkal Gesendet: Mittwoch, 5. The solution names Apache + mod_perl. I'd guess that you know what Apache can do. And now imagine that you are able to modify/replace/extend the standard behavior of Apache by your own Perl code. Every stage of the HTTP request coming from client can be hooked by your script: PerlChildInitHandler (requires apache_1.3b3 or higher) PerlPostReadRequestHandler (requires apache_1.3b3 or higher) PerlInitHandler PerlTransHandler PerlHeaderParserHandler PerlAccessHandler PerlAuthenHandler PerlAuthzHandler PerlTypeHandler PerlFixupHandler PerlHandler PerlLogHandler PerlCleanupHandler PerlChildExitHandler (requires apache_1.3b3 or higher) Start at: http://perl.apache.org/ By the way I'm using Apache + mod_perl on Windows2K machine successfully. -- Petr Smejkal _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Web mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/listinfo/perl-win32-web _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Web mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/listinfo/perl-win32-web
