Hi - is anyone familiar with the Zeta perl module (module for searching
Z39.50 targets)? I'm currently in the progress of migrating code from a
Redhat 7.3 server running perl 5.6.1 to a Redhat 9.0 server running
5.8.1. I'm having problems getting the Zeta module installed. When I run
- perl Makefile.pl, I get the following error and cannot continue with
the installation:
"Can't use string (" ") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/ExtUtils/MM_Unix.pm line 541."
I've had a quick look but have not been able to fix this. Has anybody else managed to
get it running under Perl 5.8.1.? I cannot contact the authors of the Zeta module. The
URL listed in the README does not resolve anymore. Maybe it's time to start using the
Net::Z390 module - at least this is being maintained. It would be nice to get Zeta
working for the moment though.
