Except that part of the point of having PathTools on CPAN is so people can
upgrade them without upgrading Perl. 5.005_03 is pushing it but if possible
Autrijus' suggestion of falling back to the pure Perl version when compilation
isn't possible sounds like the ideal route.



Yeah, that does seem good. I think I'll take Charlie's suggestion of adding simple #defines for the *THX* macros when they're not defined, and if compilation fails revert back to the pure perl version.


Now to figure out how to get this working with M::B and/or MakeMaker...
