I still can't understand why is this such a bad thing, especially if you
can check for it with pragmas.  I guess I've been reading all this stuff
about how dangerous and bad this is, with no explanation.  I mean a lot
of things are dangerous, but you wouldn't use it if you didn't really
know how or really need it.
