I have come down off the mountain, and bear a partially-written article for perl.com on how to roll your own PMCs and what this means. Should hit perl.com sometime within the next two months, with any luck.
It needs the final bit written, and as I've just spent the better part of a week at almost 2 miles up in the Rockies, I need to make sure the rarified atmosphere didn't affect my brain too badly.
