Hi,

I have responded to the ticket, http://rt.perl.org/rt3/index.html?q=31859, but the response hasn't made if to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Is there a policy, which responses to RT tickets are posted to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I know that it works fine for new tickets.

A patch for moving the implementation of the PerlHash PMC to the new Hash PMC is attached to the ticket 31859. The description is also pasted below.

---------------- Pasted from http://rt.perl.org/rt3/index.html?q=31859:

The PerlHash is now an extension of Hash. The semantics should not have changed. For example, integer values are still stored as PerlInt PMCs in the Hash PMC.

During testing I got confused over the combination
"KEY_integer_FLAG|KEY_number_FLAG", which indicates a key in a hash
iterator. For that combination I have introduced KEY_hash_iterator_FLAGS
in 'include/parrot/key.h'.

Summary of the changes in the attached patch:
- Hash PMC is new
- PerlHash PMC extends Hash PMC
- t/pmc/hash.t is new, basically a copy of t/pmc/perlhash.t
- The OrderedHash PMC now uses the Hash PMC
- Added Support for Hash PMC in 'Data/Dumper/Default.imc'
- The dynamic PMC Match now extends the Hash PMC
- The various hashes in the Parrot core are now Hash PMCs

At least on my machine,
Linux linux 2.4.20-4GB-athlon #1 Mon Mar 17 17:56:47 UTC 2003 i686
unknown unknown GNU/Linux,
the standard test are all passing.

I don't know wether the tests in 'language/perl6' should be passing.
When I try to run them, I get:

t/builtins/array...........# Failed test (t/builtins/array.t at line 7)
# got: 'error:imcc:undefined identifier '_die'
#
# in file
'/home/bernhard/devel/Parrot/parrot/languages/perl6/t/builtins/array_1.pasm'
line 634

TODO: - Get rid of Perl* PMCs in Hash PMC - Move Perl6 specific behavior back to the PerlHash PMC. - The NCI method has an implementation in Hash and in PerlHash, this is not nice

Googled around and found :http://computercops.biz/postt85150.html

Problem :
We have several users at our office that have select sites redirected mainl=
y
to 'RX Med' site. This is happening on computers mostly with XP, but also
with ME and 98. It is independent of browser, happens with IE, Firefox,
Netscape. As time goes on, more sites are being redirected - just lost
google. Spybot, AdAware and Spy Hunter do not detect anything. I switched t=
o
a dial up connection on my laptop, and can access all sites through dial-up=
.

Someone answered :
I had the same thing. Tried everything to no avail. Finally AVG Free noted =
a
Downloader.Dyfica.I and .F torjan in my System_Volume_Information directory=
.
It wouldn't find it when I tried to clean but I finally just deleted the
infected file and things seem to be back to normal.

I'm not sure if your file will be the same but mine was A0040977.exe

Hope this helps.

And I found :http://www.fisi.net/rx.asp

How to get around the RX Meds redirector
Cause: You accidentally mistyped one of the common websites (i.e.
www.msn.com, www.cnn.com etc) This caused your computer to be re-directed t=
o
a domain which installed a cookie and subsequently spyware on your computer=
.
Now most if not all the sites you go to are hijacked and re-directed to RX
Meds.
The Fix: The search engines are not affected by this, so you can still
safely go to www.yahoo.com and www.google.com in most cases (unless that is
the site you misspelled to begin with).
Step 1) Open your Browser and go to www.fisi.net
Step 2) click on tools at the top of your browser
Step 3) click on internet options
Step 4) IF your Homepage is set for MSN, CNN or any page that takes you to
RX MEDS please change it to www.fisi.net (reason for this is top keep the R=
X
MEDS cookie from getting back onto your computer). IF you have Fisi.net as
your Homepage skip step 4 and 5, and proceed to step 6
Step 5) After, you change your Homepage click on apply and ok at the bottom=
.
Then close your browser
Step 6) Repeat steps 1 2 and 3
Step 7) Click on Delete Cookies, then Delete Files (also check mark delete
all offline content) and then Clear History
Step 8) close your browser, then open it again. You should see the Fisi
Homepage
Step 9) In the address bar go to www.google.com
Step 10) On google SEARCH for the webpage you can not get to. (i.e. MSN, CN=
N
etc, DO NOT type www.msn.com or www.cnn.com, just search for their names;
MSN, CNN etc)
Step 11) Google will search and find the sites and provide links for you.
Click on the link and the page will appear
Step 12) Click on Favorites and add the page to your favorites replacing th=
e
old link
Repeat this process for each page you have problems with.

I'm not real sure how someone could mistype www.iucn-cida.ru (or one of a
hundered other .ru 's that instantly infect you when you go there) instead
of www.yahoo.com as the above how-to claims happens. The exploit I believ=
e
is called Mhredir.gen and if you google for it, I think most of the
sites you find will infect you with it unless your AV stops it. I believe i=
t
installs it's own name servers also.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone else received calls about their browser going to an unknown RX

And has anyone figured what this beast is and how to get rid it of (I've

Hi Nat. I use a Sandisk firewire reader with two D100s with no problems on a Mac. You don't say which OS you are using. I have no experience of USB 2 but the firewire reader is obviously much faster than USB 1.1. The slot in the Sandisk is designed for Microdrives as well so a bit of care is needed inserting a flash card because its thinner to avoid a "twisted" insertion.
