Hi,

I'm elated to announce the release of PXPerl 5.8.7-1!
One of the most interesting new thing in 5.8.7-1 is perhaps the
ability to select GCC (MinGW) to compile new modules, eg. downloaded
from CPAN.
Many other changes:

 + Upgraded to Perl 5.8.7
 + Upgraded to Pugs 6.2.7
 + Upgraded to Parrot 0.2.1
+ Updated modules to their latest version
 + Added Module::Build
+ Now a ZIP package of PXPerl (no installer) is also available
+ Added an installation script so as to emancipate from the installer
+ Includes Microsoft's free nmake in case you don't have a make program
+ Installer can now work in quiet mode (PXPerl-5.8.7-1.exe /S)
+ Changed compilation flags for Intel Compiler so that executables
are a bit smaller in size, and thus possibly faster
+ PXPerl build phase is now quite entirely automated, thanks to Perl :D
+ Added some useful commands for manipulating environment variables
which are lacking in Windows: add_to_path/remove_from_path and
set_env/delete_env
