Yeah, if we're going for meaning-based naming in the 'hll' version, it'd be nice to have a meaning-based name for the absolute-root version. Perhaps get_root_global or get_base_global (I like 'base' better). I'll work on updating the namespaces PDD tomorrow. Allison
