Remembering that this issue only presents itself on an unshared parrot (on osx/intel), and that those revs are old enough that they default to unshared, I tried this again. First: I undid 24163 against svn HEAD; still segfaults. Then: downgraded to 24162, realcleaned, built shared ... still segfaults.
