Just updated my rakudo directory - not done this for a while.
The update stalled (I thought) at the step using per6 to build the setting. Turned out just to be a VERY slow step.
I suggest a notification is included in the make file saying the step is slow.
I dont remember this happening in the past. It caught me and I am sure it may surprise others Richard
