No. If my binds weaker than =, it would be

    my $a, $b, $c = @_;

is the same as

    my $a, $b, ($c = @_);

as the opposite of

    (my $a, $b, $c) = @_;

or even

    my($a, $b, $c) = @_;   ## current syntax keeps working.
