Yes, and I was always a little fond of the bracket solution since it
lets you visually distinguish
$x = [�+�] @foo;
$x = [+]� @foo;
In interests of simplification, it's vaguely possible we should
replace unary * with [,], which would let *x is always mean ::*x,
but probably not.
