Of course you can also promote others to give talks and try to coerce people such as Yuval to give a talk. :) Advertising unfolds to three main fronts: - Creating a website: I suck at web design (seriously) and would enjoy help with it. - Writing / designing a brochure: the purpose of the brochure is to entice companies and closet programmers. It should illustrate the benefits of coming to meetings and emphasize the advantages of a community. - Writing / designing a flyer: in my experience it's easier to get people interested in events that have some graphic flyer.
