If you are not familiar with Drupal, I recommend on jumping to the
water by installing the Drupal stack.
On Windows, I recommend on installing Acquia stack - http://acquia.com/downloads
On Linux, just follow the standard installation -
http://drupal.org/documentation/install

Only after having a basic Drupal installation you should install the
mutual_credit module, and continue from there.

Note - although Drupal 7 is already released, not all of the modules
support 7, therefore I recommend on using 6 for now.
