Hi All. I have been using Mac TextMate for a while, and it is quite nice. However, it have a few big cons:
misses a good find-in-files. it have "find in project", without any filter for file type or directory. and you probably know how important is 'find in files' when working on large code base. It have a 'project mode' that put the directory in a side bar, and then I get a tabbed editing. however, if I want to edit a file that is not in the directories I added to the project, it open a new window. no file-tabs for you. annoying. I have moving between windows. So I add everything to the project. and make the find-in-files more problematic... Also, it does not have a match-braces option. so standing on opening brace will not tell me where the matching closing brace it. I can mark the text between two braces, but it makes the processes of understanding complex expression more complex. On the pro side, its syntax hi-lighter is much better then TextWrangler. Next I will try out Domodo's full version... Shmuel. _______________________________________________ Perl mailing list [email protected] http://mail.perl.org.il/mailman/listinfo/perl
