One laptop that I have which I really like is the Lenovo Thinkpad X230. It has SSD disks, but no HDMI. It's fast, lightweight and small.
I also have a Dell Latitude, which is very nice. It's bigger and heavier (not by a lot, though) and it's pretty awesome too. Has HDMI.
