I thought it was pretty good and worth listening to, but cringed slightly at how he talked at length about esoteric stuff like the traits paper and the merits of COBOL programmers.
He mentions that the Perl community seems actively averse to marketing, and then demonstrates this himself: given a chance to talk to a broader audience of developers, he comes across as aiming to out-geek his interviewers rather than demonstrate that Perl is more approachable.
