All tests passed on a debian stable system.
As Karl remarked before we need to get rid of the silly

'WARNING: Can't find the Astro::FITS::Header module, limiting FITS support.'

which pops up ~1e4 times during the tests.

It has already warned during the 'perl Makefile.PL' stage so I really don't see the point. Not sure what the best fix is but something should be done.

This is to announce the pre-release of PDL 2.4.3
for final build/usability tests.

At this point, the purpose of testing is to verify
that final edits did not break anything and to
clarify understanding and scope of the known
problems. Only high level documentation changes
will be made at this point (updates to BUGS,
README, INSTALL,... that kind of file).

NO FURTHER CODE CHANGES ARE ALLOWED.

Please use cvs to checkout this release for your
final testing opportunity and reply to me and the
perldl and pdl-porters lists by Thursday midnight,
e.g.:

cvs checkout -r rel_2_4_3pre PDL

Fixed a typo in the above line which now reads
correctly. --Chris

Please run the usual build tests and let me know
about any problems.

I'll incorporate any feedback into the docs and
start the code release processes on Friday.

Thanks for your prompt attention with this final
check and verification!
