The FAQ just points to the appropriate page in the online
documentation. The online documentation was generated for PDL version
2.4.2cvs; after that happened, I updated many portions of the FAQ for
the 2.4.3 release. I guess the online docs never got updated. I have
put up a more recent version of the online docs, generated from the
current CVS, so the FAQ should now be more or less up-to-date.
One of the reasons for the FAQ update in the first place was because the
sourceforge CVS process had changed slightly; the current FAQ should
have the correct instructions. In that process I removed the FAQ
maintainer from the FAQ documentation... I suppose I should remove
Jarle's name from the website, too.
And therein lies the beauty of the wiki--transferring the burden from
one person to many!
cheers,
Derek

Hi Tim,
Well, I gave up the FAQ in 2001 because I got RSI, so clearly the page
is outdated by some amount. I did try to fix this at some point but
hadn't noticed that it still was around.
Everything that is/was in the FAQ ought to be on the Wiki instead...
Cheers,
Jarle.

G'day again,
http://pdl.sourceforge.net/FAQ has login instructions to
cvs.pdl.sourceforge.net, but it looks like sourceforge pserver access
has been dead for at least the few days I have been trying it (I
don't think there is a firewall blocking here, anyway...) -- is there
a chance the FAQ is out of date? BTW, that faq has a bad link in the
text 3.3 ``CVS availability of PDL'' - should probably point to
http://pdl.sourceforge.net/FAQ/#q__4_8_can_i_get_pdl_via_cvs.
Furthermore, the Jarle Brinchmann's (listed as maintainer of the FAQ)
email is bouncing!
Thanks!
