I suggest providing a small example of what apply expects as an input vector, or maybe a simple example of using apply(). Also it would be helpful to provide the expected range and units of the input coordinates as well as the transformed outputs.
In the PDL::Transform::Cartography help section on standard options, it would be good to list what units are available.
