PDL Users and Developers-

      Here is a short bullet summary of the non-pass CPAN
Testers reports for the PDL-2.4.4_05 developer's release
and their current development status.

Enjoy,
Chris

UNKNOWN

* Basic/Math/Makefile.PL: trylink: couldn't open testfile
   `/tmp/testfile.c' for writing at Core/Dev.pm line 666.

   STATUS: Additional diagnostics have been added for next release.

* Not known because [Output truncated after 50K]

   STATUS: A fix for the 50K truncation to take the first and
   last 25K instead has been submitted. When that gets released
   in the next CPAN testers release, we should see more helpful
   failure logs from this tester.

* /home/perllive/perl/bin/perl PP/dump.pp > PP/Dump.pm.tmp
   mv PP/Dump.pm.tmp PP/Dump.pm
   make[2]: *** No rule to make target `pptemplate', needed by
    `pptemplate.pod'.  Stop.

   STATUS: Open problem, unknown cause.

   STATUS: Arrgh! Another POD related problem.

FAIL

* t/autoloader.t: failed tilde expansion test

   STATUS: Believed to be fixed in git...finally.

* t/dumper.t: fails at first eval of dump test.

   STATUS: The result of the sdump() is printed out on failure
   to provide additional diagnostics.

* t/pic_16bit: PDL: wpnm: pbmconverter error: pnmtopng: out of memory
generating histogram

   STATUS: This is believed to be an old version of NetPBM
   that does not support a 16bit binary data format.
   More robust handling of missing external tools would be
   nice here. If something is missing, PDL should croak
   about it....

* t/dumper: Failed test 'Can eval dumped 25x25 PDL' at line 66.

   STATUS: This is believed to be a result of missing or
   incompatible uuencode/uudecode functionality.  See above
   comment about missing external tools and robustness.
