Another topic idea for wiki documentation:

How to set up a perl development environment for PDL.
This would include compilers, editors, download links,
perl versions...

* linux
* cygwin
* win32 (ActivePerl, Strawberry perl ...)
* mac os

As in I've been meaning to set up a PDL testbed on my
XP machine for win32 perls (ActivePerl and Strawberry)
but have not had time to work through the what, where,
and how of all the pieces...
