I can't say too much about most of the warnings, though I believe that the PLplot bindings have a few warnings that could serve to be cleaned up even when everything goes smoothly. However, I can take a stab at one of these.

This is good in so far as it is not a PLplot problem, but bad in so far as I have no idea what do to with it. All of this should be handled by MakeMaker behind the scenes so... Have you tried updating MakeMaker? Feels like a weak suggestion, but that's all I've got. :( David
