Given my ongoing desire to ditch PGPLOT, I'd definitely appreciate an
intro to PLPlot...

A handful of people responded to the idea of a PDL Colloquium. The

I'll be happy to get things going by giving the first talk. I'd like
to give an introduction to either PDL::PP or PLplot. Requests and
suggestions are welcome.
The format will be as follows. I'll write up a talk and post it to
slideshare. We'll find a time to meet (see the link below) and meet
over combined IRC+VoiP. I'll give my talk, and afterwards we'll have
an open discussion. Afterwards, I'll sync up my audio with the
slides on slideshare and make a slidecast, so those who could not
make it can still view the talk.
I would like to have as much people attend as we can manage, so if
you'd like to attend, indicate when you're available on this online
scheduler: http://www.doodle.com/tzb5yzrba3ng3w89
For the VoiP, I had Ekiga or another SIP service in mind. With
Skypcasts no longer available, the only way we could have a large
online VoiP meeting would be with a SIP provider. Any other thoughts
or suggestions?
Thanks, and don't forget to sign-up!
David
