Is there a high-level image display interface for PLPlot that is comparable to PGPLOT's ->imag() call? I don't see one.
Also, FWIW we are still finding the PLPlot install process to be brittle. Yum works on Fedora (except for issues surrounding the recent release, which jammed some of the servers), but compiling from source with the default config generally fails, complaining that we don't have an ada compiler on our machines.
