The bug review, evaluation, prioritization, and
resolution pre-PDL-2.4.7 has been completed
and we are good to go with a formal release
now. In light of that fact, I plan the following
schedule:
14 Aug 2010: Code freeze and release of the prerelease
version of PDL for the 2.4.7 release as another CPAN
developers release.
14-17 Aug 2010: Documentation and web sites update
for the PDL-2.4.7 release
18 Aug 2010: final pre-release of PDL before 2.4.7 release
19 or 20 Aug 2010: release final PDL-2.4.7 to CPAN.
If you have any code changes, they need to be in by
Friday and should be of a relatively simple nature to
avoid possible breakage.
After the Sat AM release, we need as many people
as possible to test the release, verify install process
and instructions are up to date, help with docs and web
site finalization for the release.
