A.k.a. CHM/PDL-2.4.9_991.tar.gz and should be
appearing at a CPAN mirror near you within the
next few days.
This is release candidate 1 for PDL-2.4.10 planned
for release this January. At this point, all code
changes should be complete and the distribution is
available for testing and verification.
A second release candidate will be announced next
weekend with the final docs and readme updates as
well as the comprehensive release notes. That
candidate will then become the official release
once the web site, documentation, and PDL book
work is ready to go.

- Manual build/install is recommended although the
cpan shell may be used by specifying the distribution
path rather than just the module name, e.g.:

cpan> test CHM/PDL-2.4.9_991.tar.gz
cpan> look CHM/PDL-2.4.9_991.tar.gz
