Hi Chris et al,
What format should we assume for the perldl shell and examples?
I think having a cut-and-paste of a PDL shell
session makes it clearer which is command
and which is output.
Which shell should we use - the pdl shell or the pdl2 shell?
There are currently two PDL shells, perldl
(the original shell) and pdl2 (the new shell).
I recommend using pdl2 since, by design, it
will fallback to perldl if you don't have
Devel::REPL installed and it has better
support for lexical variables.
However, the sessions for perl/PDL stuff (not
specific to one shell or another) should be
the same.
I also see that prefixing "pdl>" to the perldl lines are now ignored
by the shell, so shall I start adding these in to the examples?
Yes, that was so cut-and-paste would work
more easily.
