I found my self having to look at PAR very closely
and probably having months of work to do to get it working ...
and as of right now I cant send the PDL.exe
threw email "SourceForge" or the "Internet Archive"
I think it would be a nice option for cpan if it ever
gets working ... really I gave up on PDL a while ago
untill I saw Robin Williams piddle, and seen a new type
of technology hidden in the volume rendering, which
made me take a second look at PDL.
Now I see how versatile it is while it's not Comsol
I can see PDL competing as a real "Quantum Chemistry 3D"
software where it can predict, and simulate everything from Electronics to
Biology, and when you working in those types of fields
you want to be able to go into the code and change things
that you think need changing, which you can't do in Comsol
at a software level..

A point of clarification:
I don't propose that we distribute PDL via PAR. I think we should provide a PAR
download-and-kick-the-tires option. It's not a one-click installer, but it
WOULD be possible to include an installer as part of the (supposedly Prima) GUI
app that we would distribute as our download. It would make evangelism *much*
easier.
