Subject: [Perldl] ppm install failed: Can't find any package that provides
parent version 0.225 for PDL-Graphics-Prima
Hi,
I get this upgrading to 0.5 from 0.4.
How could I fix?
Have you also upgraded to 5.16 by any chance ?
Last time I checked, ActiveState hadn't yet built perl-5.16.0 and, of
course, were not yet providing any ppm packages for 5.16.0.
PPM is so dumb that it doesn't first check to see whether you already have
parent-0.225 (though you probably do already have it).
It just sees the parent-0.225 pre-requisite in the PDL-Graphics-Prima.ppd
file and gives up because it can't find a ppm package anywhere for
parent-0.225.
Anyway, I've just uploaded parent-0.225 to the sisyphusion repo, so you
should have no trouble now - though you might first have to run:
ppm repo sync --force
(just to make sure that PPM knows that parent-0.225 is now available from
the sisyphusion repo).
Cheers,
Rob
