I see the version on ppm as 0.92, while that on cpan is 1.0. If it
is going to be updated I will wait for the new one and will use
that on Ubuntu.

Then, try the attached demo1.pl.
Best way to exit that demo is to restore the focus to the cmd.exe
console and hit 'Enter' (as per the message that has appeared in
