There are a couple of demo programs - demo.pl is one - in the module to help 
you get going.

Maybe a page on the PDL wiki would be a nice place to start?  I'd like people 
to be able to 
add their own demos as well...

I'm not sure where you found that sourceforge link - it is clearly incorrect.  
PDL::Graphics::Gnuplot is not (yet?) incorporated into PDL itself.  There is an 
"official" (heh) page at CPAN, and the development pages are at 
"http://github.com/drzowie/PDL-Graphics-Gnuplot/";.
