All-
The current PDL-2.4.11_009 CPAN developers
release is testing very well and it appears that
with the next one, we'll be ready for PDL-2.4.12
as far as no regression from PDL-2.4.11.
We're still working through some issues w.r.t. the
new PDL::NiceSlice implementation which is the
remaining missing piece of development I plan
to include in this release. Otherwise, significant
code changes should be done and the clean-up
and documentation part of the release can
begin.
These are the priority items that I see:
(1) Please fix any outstanding doc/pod bugs
(2) Please test the CPAN developers releases
especially in scenarios with any external
dependencies
(3) Test PDL::Graphics::Prima and
PDL::Graphics::Gnuplot and provide any
problem reports or usability issues to the
developers so we can have these two
modules building mostly everywhere
by PDL-2.4.12 release time.
(4) Updated pdl demos and chapter 2 of the
PDL Book using either PDL::Graphics::Prima
and PDL::Graphics::Gnuplot. Initially, we
could just distribute the chapters as separate
PDF files and do the more extensive book
revision later.
