Hi, finally I studied how to create and upload modules to CPAN. So I just uploaded PDL::IO::Nifti to PAUSE. I would have liked to test the download right away, but I guess it takes a few ours to appear. Any feedback would be welcome.
Like Dicom, nifti-1 is a commonly used image format in medical and especially neuroimaging. I hope this brings more people from this field to using pdl. Here is some background: http://nifti.nimh.nih.gov/ My needs are rather limited, so I guess there are a lot of issues, especially the conversion of non-native data types is implemented but untested.
