Dear Sirs,
I just replaced my debian OS from 32 (i386) to 64 bits (x86_64,
AMD64). I reinstalled all the prerequisites of PDL and tried to
install PDL. Nevertheless, the following test fails:

and nothing more happens (I interrupted after a few minutes). I wonder
if this is an important issue. If not, how can I proceed with the
rest of the tests? Should I simply go ahead and install? I am using
perl 5.18.1. Should I downgrade to 5.16?
