maintainership, but it looks like Matthew has done a good job of
updating

and converting the repository to git (yay!), so if you don't get any
other response, yes - I'd guess the best approach is to fork his
github repo, hack, then send a pull request :-) You could also add the
sourceforge "official" repo as a remote for comparison.
